Round 2

Our second game of the season comes against the Rodeo. With a small delay waiting for Junior Scully to arrive as our 4th player, the game starts off and both teams are very rusty. The team turn up sporadically, Coyfish was originally coming to watch but those plans changed when we were short, he arrived half with about 8 minutes to go in the half and Jordy arrived on half time. Our defence saved us, going into the half 4 points down at 13 - 9. Bloomy hitting an important 3, sitting on 5 points, Junior scully and Kinga both with single baskets.

The second half showed a change in momentum, getting out to a 28 - 22 lead with a few minutes to go. We couldn't hold on, losing 29-28 with a free throw after the buzzer. Our last 5 minutes of play gave us 7 fouls and no points, a disappointing way to finish the game, but heads up, there were still positives for the game.

Junior Scully was important all game, it showed most when he subbed off for the last 3 minutes of the game. Bloomy hit a couple of threes for the game, finishing with 11 points. Kinga missed a heap of shots but battled on, Burls helped move the ball around to find open shots and defence helped keep us in the game. Coyfish helped steady us allot when he came on, offering an extra option on offence and defence while he didn't look at all hampered by his ankle. Jordy looked imposing down low and was unlucky not to score more points.

Next week play at 7:50pm.
